Here at Yapton CE Primary School we believe that there are no limits to what our pupils can achieve and this is possible through hard work and determination.
'Growth Mindset' is a phrase coined by Carol Dweck and is based on research that showed that when pupils were willing to make mistakes and celebrated them, they would achieve more than pupils who panicked and gave up!
We encourage our pupils to make mistakes and to challenge themselves to be resilient independent learners. Mistakes are discussed regularly and they are used to take the learning forward.
In a world where it appears success can come about easily and quickly, we realise that this is not always the case. The journey to becoming a life long learner is not smooth and mistakes need to be made along the way to help our brains to grow.
