We had a wonderful time at Tesco learning all about where our food comes from. Nick took us behind the scenes so that we could learn all about the warehouse at the back of the store. It was -20 degrees in the freezer, which made us all shiver!
Benny took us to meet Ian at the fish counter. We saw lots of different types of fish from tiny sprat to enormous rainbow trout. We discovered some fish have hidden spikes that they use to protect themselves.
Before we left the store, Nick shared some of the food facts that he has learnt. Did you know that bananas don't grow on trees? Ask a Year 2 to tell you what type of plant they grow on.
